This Privacy Policy explains how Gluco AI ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Gluco AI mobile application and this website (together, the "Service"). Your privacy — and especially the privacy of your health data — is something we take seriously.
1. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: email, name, and (if you create an account) password or sign-in provider identifier.
- Health profile: age, height, weight, diabetes type, target A1C, medications, and similar details you choose to share to personalize the app.
- Food photos: images you capture or upload for meal analysis.
- Logs: meals, glucose readings, activity, and notes you enter.
- Support messages: anything you send us at support@glucoai.app.
Information collected automatically
- Device data: device model, OS version, app version, language, time zone, crash logs, and diagnostic information.
- Usage data: which features you use and how often, to help us improve the app.
- Identifiers: an app-generated user ID. We do not use the iOS IDFA for tracking.
Information from integrations (opt-in)
- Dexcom / CGM data: if you connect a CGM, we receive glucose readings through the provider's official API.
- Apple Health: if you grant permission, we may read and write specific health metrics you choose.
2. How we use your information
- Provide the core product — scanning meals, estimating nutrition, and predicting glucose impact.
- Personalize your 90-day A1C plan, recommendations, and reminders.
- Improve model accuracy and app performance.
- Provide customer support and respond to your requests.
- Send important account, security, and service notices.
- Detect fraud, abuse, and violations of our Terms.
- Comply with legal obligations.
3. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share health data for advertising. We share information only in these cases:
- Service providers that help us run the app (cloud hosting, analytics, crash reporting, AI inference, payment processing). They are contractually bound to use your data only to perform services for us.
- Integrations you authorize (e.g., Dexcom, Apple Health). Data only flows to/from a provider after you connect it.
- Legal and safety reasons when required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Gluco AI, our users, or others.
- Business transfers. If Gluco AI is involved in a merger, acquisition, or asset sale, your information may transfer as part of that transaction. We will notify you if this happens.
4. How your food photos are handled
Photos you capture for analysis are sent to our AI processing infrastructure so we can identify foods and estimate their nutritional content. Photos are stored so you can see your meal history inside the app. You can delete an individual meal or your entire history at any time from the app's settings, which removes the associated image.
5. Subscriptions and payments
Paid subscriptions are sold and processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive receipt and entitlement information from Apple (via RevenueCat), but we do not receive your full payment card details.
6. Data retention
We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account at any time from Settings → Account → Delete Account, which will erase your profile, logs, and food photos within 30 days, except where we are required to retain records for legal, tax, or fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Security
We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, access controls, and regular audits. No system is perfectly secure, but we work hard to protect your information.
8. Children's privacy
Gluco AI is not intended for children under 13 (or under 16 in some regions). We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can delete it.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access a copy of your data.
- Correct inaccurate data.
- Delete your data.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Port your data to another service.
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
- Opt out of "sale" or "sharing" of personal information (we do not sell or share for cross-context advertising).

10. International users
Gluco AI is operated from the United States. If you access the Service from outside the U.S., you understand your information will be transferred to, stored, and processed in the U.S. and other jurisdictions where our service providers operate.
11. Medical disclaimer
Gluco AI is a wellness and tracking product, not a medical device. Nothing in the app is medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Never make dosing or treatment decisions based on Gluco AI alone — always consult your healthcare provider.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will notify you in the app or by email before they take effect. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
